do any of you contracted installers carry insurance and if so-what company carries such insurance?my insurance agent couldn't help me.

If you mean damage liability insurance, I doubt most installers have that. I think as a large company that has several employees doing this work it is not a bad idea. In this world of lawsuits for anything and everything it is best if everyone just covers their own tail. If the techs are soldering and doing work to the best of their ability, and management is proactive and randomly checking installs you rarely run into any problems. For that one case that ends up in the court room (we all have them) that is where a business has to take over. There is so much room for legal advice here. Hopefully someone with experience from a business owner's perspective can chime in, but no from an installer's perspective you should not need insurance if you are doing everything with 100% effort.

Just because you did the install with "100% effort", does not mean you will avoid liability. Search for "Auto Service/Repair Shop" insurance or "Garage Keepers" insurance.  Farmers is one that comes to mind that offers these types of liability policies,
