Installed a DBall2 in my '06 4Runner and it has power all the way to the 4 pin harness that goes into it from the RS brain (Viper 4706v). Red shows +12 and Black is showing me a good ground. However, the LED doesn't flash anything at all whether the ignition is on or off.
Is it safe to assume I have a faulty DBall2? Or is there another test I should perform before sending it back...?
Thanks!

Bypasses do come "dead in the box" but Im just curious if you followed the programming procedure...generally there is a sequence for putting in the harnesses key on off etc...if you followed the programming, doubled checked all connections and there's no action on the bypass it's dead...I tend to not use dball2 much and prefer ads but they too come dead...it's annoying but happens.

Thanks for the info. It worked for a couple weeks then it just died. The same thing happened to my Viper 4706v at the same time which makes me suspicious.
I'd gladly entertain questions if anyone has an idea as to why both died at the same time after they were working just fine.
None of the fuses are blown either.

That is interesting...both not working at the same time is likely some other issue...very unlikely both would be faulty at the same time. Some things to try.
Try putting the key in the ignition...do not turn it...and try to remote start...if it starts then you know your brain is okay.
Second make sure simple things like RS key Fobs are programmed valet mode or hood switches are working as intended etc.
It's often something simple...but perhaps an explanation as to what the remote start is doing etc would be more helpful...thanks
