I've had a DEI 4205P installed and working flawlessly for about 4 years. This past winter I started experiencing a problem with poor page back range. I can start the car from an amazing distance away but I don't get the feedback response telling me i had a successful start. If I'm very near the car, I'll get the page back.
Naturally I think this is an RF problem.
I changed out the remotes - same
I changed out the IVU (antenna) - same
I sent the brain unit into DEI repair and got it back saying "no problem found.
Last night I re installed the brain unit into my vehicle, master reset it, paired the remotes, re-programmed my features and tested - same result...i can start from distance but i don't get notification back unless I'm extremely close to the car.
So My last two options are, change out the antenna wiring from the IVU to the brain, and replace my brain unit even though the manufacture says there is nothing wrong with it.
What do you guys think?

ok, I replaced the cable between the brain and the IVU - no go. My page back range is actually about 60 feet. I replaced the brain, same problem.
I tested the ground at the module - 8 ohms, so i ran a new ground wire temporary to the battery and tested again, same result.
I have now changed out EVERY piece of the system. I don't have abnormal RF conditions where I am testing either. I'm just at a loss.
