Hey yall, I've had this Accord now for a few years, had an Audiovox Prestige PRO9242 or PRO9244, not sure of the exact model #. Anyway, car/locks was acting up, sometimes wouldn't start without unhooking the battery then hooking back up, locks acted crazy, so I did my best to remove alarm completely, but now the door locks still act crazy, very intermittent, sometimes work, sometimes don't. I did put a new actuator in drivers door, now when I push down on the door lock it pops itself right back up????? No response from driver door lock switch, though it did somewhat work before new actuator. I don't think the car came with factory alarm/keyless entry.
I'm thinking this has something to do with two unused wire harnesses on drivers side fuse panel, one harness is just solid blue wire with grey harness, the other has GREEN/ red and BLACK/ white wires with grey harness. The GREEN/ red wire was run to the green wire on Audiovox Alarm, the BLACK/ white was run to red wire on Audiovox. This is a 1998 Accord LX I4, 4 door sedan.
Anyone have any ideas? I would surely appreciate some help here, Thanks, Joe
Joe
