i'm installing a remote start in sonata 2003 and connect the hood switch on factory swicth with diode. do you know if have any problem for connection on factory hood sw in long time

I have used OEM hood pin switch wires for various vehicles without problems. The Hyundai uses a (-) trigger when closed and 12 volts when open ( much like the Acura's ) and I never used a diode and that was on about 50 vehicles with 0 false hood pin switch problems.
