99 gmc remote start second ignition

   I wired a prostart 3100 in a 99 gmc truck.My problem is when i start the vehicle with the remote the check engine light comes on and the transmission wont shift right.I suppliied (+) when running from the potenomitor type control from the passlock module to the small white wire by the small yellow start wire and the check engine light still comes on.I would appreciate any info on this problem or a proper wiring porocedure THANKS Brad

second ignition should eigther be pink/wht or white, your remotwe start should have a wire coming out for second ignition.Gary Kline
