hey
id like to start my car with a push button switch without having the key in the ignition
i know i have to wire a momentary switch to "start" in place of the ignition, but this only starts  the car if they key is in the ignition and turned to "on"
i want to by-pass the ignition, and hav a separate toggle switch to turn the ignition on, but im not sure how to do this.
any help would be appreciated
i have a 2003 vauxhall corsa. it has an imobiliser, but i would assume that if i turned on the ignition with a switch it would be like turning the key, and therefore disable the immobiliser.
thanx

Don't know anything about this car but you will probably have to connect a DEI 555U to your ignition toggle switch and put a key in the box to disable the immobiliser. You also probably have to use a relay and have the toggle switch set to ground to turn on the relay (and the 555U). Let the relay drive the ignition current.

The 555u is used to transmit the code from your key to the sensor near the ignition switch. Power and ground is all you need, with the coil looped around your receiver ring. The ground should come from your toggle switch.
put in a relay for your ignition
86 and 87 12 volts (heavy source)
85 to the toggle switch which is also connected to the 555u
30 to your ignition wire.
Good luck !
