I'm trying to hook up my remote start to my parking lights the instructions say to use a 1400 ohm resistor between a relay and the light wire. All I could find is a 1K and 470 ohm resistors if I put them in line will this work? Its on a 2004 Dodge ram. Thanks for any help, Mike

that should work, put them in series and you should get what you need.

You can also catch the parking light wire under the hood behind the fuse box.
Do it right the first time

If you get them at the fus box they are 12v and do not require the relay or resistors
