i have a audiovox asp 786 and i ve hooke up all the leads but it will not learn the tac signal.  the wire diagam is vage to say the least  i have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.7 v8.  it has a coil pack on each cilender so im not sure were to hook up the lead for the tac.  thanks for your help im lost

first of all, did you hook up all of your acc and ign wires? some units won't program without seeing power at the 2nd ign wire. i expect you did, but my rule is to always check the obivous first. sow, im not very fimiliar with the audiovox     ( i've only ever installed 3 of them) but if it's not a total box of sh*t like an astroflex or somthing it shouldn't be too picky about where you pull tach from.  the tan/red at the first ign coil sould work. i have another source that says NOT GREEN/ orange at ign coil, coil pack or an injector, which is a general rule of thumb-pull signal off of the uncommon wire.
