Well this weekend or next i will be installing a Viper 771xv in a 2002 Hyundai Sante Fe for my aunt. Im not sure if she has a factory alarm or not. But im just wondering if this should be a pretty straight forward installation as in no relays, no diodes, no resistors, ect. And if theres any tips or suggestions on this particular vehicle.

I installed a 791xv in a 2003 cavalier with a prox, backup battery, and about 3 mini piezo sirens. It was my very first alarm install and so far no problems since the install 5 months ago. I had some help from some good fellow installers i used to work with that helped me get through, but took a good 12 hours cause i insisted that i do everything myself to learn. they were just there for questions when i was stumped.

But anyhow, this Sante Fe will be my second alarm/ remote start and any info is greatly appreciated.

Very cool man. Persistence always pays off. Its good to see that you take an interest in it. Take as much time as you need and make sure that when you are done the job you are satisfied with the way install looks and performs. If you have any questions holla back and let us know how it went and what you thought of it.
