I have a 2003 Olds Alreo.  I self-installed a Galaxy 5000RS Remote Start system along with a Bulldog Security box to get past the vehicle factory system.  After I was all done installing, I could get the car to start, but ONLY by using the remote starter.  When using the key, the car stared the immediately shut itself off.  Again, I would get around this by using the remote to start the vehicle, then insert the key and drive away.  I grew very tired of doing this because the distance the remote worked went down (even with a new battery) to ZERO when it dropped to - 40 F here.  This past weekend I removed all of the wiring I added so that I could get my car back to the way it was, but now I get nothing...no lights, no dashboard that illuminates before starting and of course no starting, no trying, no nothing except I hear the fuel pump when I first turn the key past Acc.

Help!  I don't know what to try now.

Thanks!!~!

Thanks from North Pole, Alaska

First off, the Passlock II system wasn't bypassed properly, that is why the key was not working but did work with the bypass module. I've heard that the Bulldog systems are horrible for this. As far as the wiring goes, make sure that you reconnected any wires that you may have cut to install a relay ( starter disable or ignition disable.) and check for any fuses that may have blown in the engine and on the driver's side panel.
