I'm getting the Autopage RS 750. It has a factory alarm disarm output and arm output.

I have a 98 Mustang Cobra. I see on the wiring diagram there is a disarm wire, but is there a way to engage the factory alarm with the Autopage. This would take care of the starter disable is the real reason I would like to utilize it.

2nd question, with the Autopage, I see the remote start wiring has two RED wires that say "remote start power 1" and "remote start power 2". These two wires are both fuses, but combine to one at the module. Is this simply power for starting the car and why are there two wires...additional power?

the reason for the 2 is it will pull power from both lines and reduce the chance of a blown fuse on either line such as at the start a surge .and yes you can arm the factory alarm i believe it is the pink wire on the 6 pin white connector . you can also skip the door triggers as well since the alarm will be taking care of this . also make sure you turn down the shock that is built in it is very sensitive. you need to make sure you mount the brain vertical as well. i have the marksman unit in my durango and it is great. has so many cool features . the best one is the silent alarm somone can break in and no horn or lights just notifys you on the 2-way remote , hence you run out with a bat or something else and deter them from completing there job of ripping you off.

Thanks for the info......I'm looking forward to the install.

The re-arm is actually the brown wire on the 6 pin, but I'm wondering if the Ford factory alarm has this option.

On the 98 Mustang wiring harness, I see a wire for factory disarm, but not for re-arm.

ahh your right pink is factory disarm. as far as the factory arm wire just pull the door panel and look at the 3 wires from the key cylinder on is feed one is arm the other disarm.

Right on....thanks....I know that if you lock the doors from the inside with them closed, it activates the alarm, so I knew there had to be a way.
