Remote Safety on 550esp

Someone answer this question

 For a Manual transmission 92 Integra, is there an (+) or (-) connection standard, that I can hook up so that the alarm know's it's in gear or neutral, or do I have to make up some type of micro switch or magnetic sensor to get this reading, I'm doing this for a remote start safety. So if I remote start the car, and it's in gear that it won't start until it's on neutral.

I'd watch myself if I were you about "telling"someone how to do a bypass on a 2000 pound time bomb waiting to go off because of a glitch.  There is no safe way to modify a remote starter made specifically for automatics.  A message to " The Rookie!~ ",  sell the Viper unit and get the REAL thing before we all regret it!

Thanks for the warning and I understand your point of view on this as I too have the same mid set. He just wanted to know if there was a switch out on the market and I told him this. Wether or not he wants to go ahead and do this installation is up to him. If the installer installed switch malfunctions or if a OEM nuetral safety malfunctions...... it doesn't matter, it only takes once. I'm here to give suggestions and opinions....( wether they are good or bad in some peoples eyes ). The  onus is on the individual who ends up taking the advise and using it properly and safely.

I will watch what I suggest in the future though..... thanks for looking out for the members. If I ever suggest anything off color or down right wrong.....please tell me !!!! I appreciate honest criticism as this builds on my character and also helps others succeed where I have not.
