OK, I've got a problem. My car, when JUST the alarm is plugged in, is giving the signs that the brains are cranking the starter..parking lights on, no siren on lock/unlock, etc... When I plug the remote start harness in, I do not even hear a click from the relay. But the radio comes on, AC comes on, and as soon as I press the clutch in, the car comes to life. So my question is: Is it possible for the relay to get stuck, and if so, how in the world do I fix it? I won't have to send it back will I?
Thank you,
Kevin

I second your opinion. I'm having all sorts of problems, and I just don't get it. The alarm/siren was working just great...Now, the alarm works and everything, but the siren doesn't. I even did a direct wire from the brains to the siren, set off the alarm, and nothing. Connected siren to battery, and it worked great. I think there is a defect in the brain. Just too many things going wrong for it to be right I think. I don't know what to do. Autopage won't fix it, and I seriously doubt that the guy I bought it from is going to replace it for me. Any suggestions? I'd hate to be out 150 bucks.

The thing that sucks is that it was working great. Then all a sudden, it wasn't working great. What gets me is that the sensors still work, remote still alerts me of alarm, but the siren output just isn't doing anything. Im' going to meter the wire in a second to see if I'm getting anything out of it when the alarm goes off. Other than the siren, I'm really not missing anything. The remote start isn't that big a deal to me. Maybe I'll take it to my friend's shop and have one of his guys look at it. I emailed the guy that sold it to me and told him that it could have been defective from the getgo. If God is in a good mood, maybe the guy will let me buy a brain for 50 bucks or somethin. Going to go recheck everything again now.

OK, looking at the harness that holds the siren wire, it is VERY loose. The siren wire is loose, not the harness itself. So how can I make it tight again? Or can I like cut the siren wire, and maybe strip the wire and wrap it around the post for the siren? I don't even care about the RS right now. I just spent 170 on this alarm, and i want it to work :) So if someone can tell me either how to tighten the wire in the harness or whether I can wrap the wire around the post or something...Of course, I'm not totally sure that the harness is my problem. Could be the brain. Who knows.

OK, nevermind that idea too. I went ahead and stripped a little bit off of the siren wire, and wrapped it around the siren post...set off alarm and still had no siren sound. Discussing with the seller right now how much a new brain is going to cost me.

IS that an 855?  I have installed about 50-75 of those alarms and have not had one problem with them at all.

They are a great alarm.  Is the unit in valet mode?

What wires do you have connected and to what are they connected?
