I have a question I hope someone can answer.  Up until the cold days, the remote start was working fine.  Now that the temp drops at nite,   I am having starting the vehicle via remote in the morning.  I can start the car with the key just fine but not with the remote.  I have also re-programed the tach mode and it seems to work fine

here is my question:  I know that the montero sport has a fairly small battery.  I also set the heater fan to high.  I also have a powered sub that auto turns on.  Would a combination of these cause the car not to start all the time, especially when cold

thanks

You said that you reprogrammed the tach.....did you have to do any type of "learn routine"?  On mine, you have to start the car with the key, and then hold the valet button until the alarm's LED lights up (which means the remote starter has learned the signal).  YOu might want to check the directions, and see if you have to do this.

As for the fan and the sub, I don't think they should really affect it.  I don't think your sub should be turning on when the car (or the radio) should turn on when the car is remotely started.

I went through the learn routine and did get the LED to light up..  I'll try this again and see if it makes a differences
