The old avital remote start on the car went bad so I had a new viper 160xv installed at best buy.
The range is supposed to be better with the new DEI xhf remotes. but the range is actually less than half of what the avital 3200 was giving me with the old system.
The max range I could get was about 20 feet.
It is advertised to have 500feet !
Bestbuy won't listen to my compalain saying all is working fine.
How can I make my point... really frustrated.
thnx for any input.

first its best buy, atleast in my area there install jobs are what we laugh at. Were did they put the antenna for max range its supposed to be on the glass, second it can simply be a bad antenna see if switching it out will help.

I agree. Their installers don't know much at most of their stores. I kept telling them that it could be a bad antenna but even the manager keeps looking at me as if I have no clue what I am referring to. It got too frustrating so I had to just leave today.
