99 Nissan Altima, DEI 562T Remote Start

This was a great help! Thanks for the reply. The direct wire told me that it needed to be isolated. I have a 99 nissan ultima, but according to the 1077 document it is for a 93-97 model. I assume that the dei's direct wire guidelines are updated more frequently than the 1077 document.---------------------------I have a question now regarding this diagram. I have a 562T from DEI. This model as a remote satellite relay and a main 'brain' box. The 1077 diagram looks like they are using the older relays like in the 7000hf and the 800esp. My satellite ribbon harness does not even have a little small ORANGE / pink wire. To isolate the accessory/ignition using a DEI 562T what should I do??---------------------------again your input would be appreciated! Squirrl

I am installing a DEI 562T. I do not fully understand the remote start activation input. The manual shows a picture of the blue/white wire of the primary harness connecting to the 'pin switch', and the switch also connecting to ground. I understand that if this switch is pressed the car will not start because it is not getting the ground. Where though should this switch go? I dont really understand why this switch is necessary because it cannot be flipped off.    It is spring loaded and will always show ground unless you press it. Please help me understand the need for this switch. Squirrl

I am installing a DEI 562T and it asks me to connect to the climate control wire. How do I find/test for this wire? Any idea what color the wire is and where it can be found in a 99 nissan altima? Thanks!Squirrl

it's a bit confusing, but i believe what DEI means on the diagram is you may use either pink or orange, depending on the application. Since the diagram is generic, it could be for ignition, in which case you use pink, or accessory, in which case you use orange. In your case you are using it for an accessory lead, so use the orange ribbon wire. It would be easier just to get the orange wire from the 4 pin plug next to the ribbon harness, it has the same fuction....Mike M2

I think you have your wires confused. Blue/white is a status out wire, used for turning on bypasses or for negative keyswitch. WHITE/ blue is activation, not usually a  needed wire because you are activating with supplied remotes. It does show this connected to a switch, just don't use it. Mike M2

No you will not need to hook up the orange heavy gauge from the relay satilite(tape it off), but remember when making the relay the wire  at 87 must be the same gauge as 87a and 30.
