installed the 561r/457g. Since this is an R, was curious, can you use this unit as just an add on like the 561t? Basically, can I use the OE Key Fobs to use the remote start? This is for a 2003 Trailblazer. If I can, how would I go about programming it to remote start off 2 or 3 presses of the lock button? Again this is for starting it off the OE key fob.

Also if I was able to initiate the remote start from the OE fobs, can I disconnect the dome lights, and the external parking lights?

Hello all,

I am new here. I have the same setup on a 2004 GMC Sierra 4 door pickup and would be very interested in the information on using the OEM remote to start the truck.
