I've installed a remote start alarm system in my f-150 and attatched all of the wires correctly except the hood pin input there is no hood pin that came with the system.  when i hit the start button the vehicle turns on and then cranks for about .5 second then stops and it doesn't fire up.  After that the remote beeps and indicates that the hood has been opened.  I do not have the hood input wired to a hood pin i just left it alone and capped it off.  It is a negative input, the manual says that it recieves a ground signal when the hood is opened so I thought i could bypass that by simply not attatching it to anything but it isn't working..        Any help would be greatly appreciated

You need either a PATS1 or PKF. Wire the hoodpin properly as it is a safety device for the remote start. It is a instant kill line if the vehecle is accidentaly remote started with the hood open.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
