I just got done installing a Crimestopper RS830 remote starter using a GMDL-BP bypass in a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. SOMETIMES when I do a remote start it will start, run a couple seconds, shut off, start again, run a couple seconds, shut off, start 3rd time and continue running.
I had it do that once (when it had to try three times) and a couple other times when it got it on the second time..
I also had some remote starts work fine on the first shot.. Any ideas? Could it be that I didn't hook up a tach (using "smart tachless"). Thanks

Hook up tach....the smart tachless isn't reading the engine running.

Why does it work sometimes then? I bunch of times it's started on the first try and kept running.

Read the directions for tachless mode.
Drain off the extra power in the car then do a tachless
or Hook to an injector. the wire that changes color on every injector is the wire you need.
