2002 Accord, Viper 500HF

Here's the subject: Viper 500HF. Old school relay pack is giving me all kinds of issues. It was apparently removed in some kind of hurry and the guy hacked up alot of wires in the process. I'm putting it in a 2002 Accord, so far everything works but the owner wants me to add a Varad scanner light (P.O.S.) instead of the led. Following the instructions, I hooked black to ground, red to constant 12v, and yellow to the orange (ground when armed) wire on the alarm. Doesn't work. It comes on when the key is off, and shuts off when you turn the key on. Am I just getting senile or what?

You are saying the Varad doesn't come ON when you ARM Alarm??

It only comes on when the Key is turned OFF?Is there anything else hooked to the ORANGE wire?

if there is anything else hooked the orange wire you need to diode isolate them from each other (band toward the alarm brain). if there is nothing else hooked to the orange wire, it may be fried in the alarm brain. toasters rock
