I have a clifford matrix 3.5 and when i press the remote start button all it does is flash the parking lights and bleep twice on the remote. Also shows the smoke on the screen  for about 1/2 second aswell. Anyone know what it could be?

For a little more info i dont have the Tacho wire connected at the moment due to it stopping the signal to my rev counter. I think i need to put a diode on it but dont have any on me at the moment.

The starter doesnt even try to activate.
