Hello all,
My CS2016FM from Crimestopper quit functioning a few months ago (it just quit, no warning signs / symptoms or anything). I didn't bother messing with it until tonight because the alarm and keyless entry are still working fine, only the Remote Start is having an issue. I got under the dash and checked the brown (remote start+) wire going to the starter side of the starter disable relay. When I try to remote start the vehicle I only get about 5 volts at that wire, not enough to engage or crank the vehicle. Any ideas what might be causing this before I pull the entire brain out? Both of my power wires going to the module have 12-13V going like they should.
Thanks,
Tom

Sounds like the internal starter output relay is damaged. If you have waranty, then I suggest using it especially if you had the system installed by a shop. They tend to look down on installations that have been tampered with.
