My wife has a well 2000 Grand AM SE with no security features built in I am wondering since it doesn't have a security or remote start do I have to worry about the DEI 55L bypass Module, becuase I do not know if I have the GM passlock feature.
Thanks guys you all rock!!

I am assuming that I need something like this, then I could wire up everthing normal like the instructions say. Correct.

Neither of your links are working directly. To bypass the passlock systems, DEI's 556L has never let me down, but as of late I have been using the GMBP from bypasskit.com. The reason I prefer the GMBP is you do not have to cut any of the factory wiring to bypass the passlock, it achieves it via the databus.

Link still not working. As long as it is the GMBP or equivalent it is right. DEI says you will need 2 relays and a 1.5K resistor to finish the job.
