I have searched about the 2nd started wire on the new 2006 Toyota Tacomas, and found out that you have to use a relay to power it up when remote starting. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to wire the relay up to the 2nd starter wire?

Most remote starts have a second starter output, What brand/model are you using?

Assuming your r/s has a negative second start output.

85 to second start output of rs.  86 to constant +12v. 87 to constant +12v. 30 to the second starter wire in the truck.  87a is unused.

I searched about the 2nd starter wire on the 2006 Tacoma, and realized that I have to use a relay to power it up in remote start mode. Can someone tell me how to wire up the relay to the 2nd starter wire, and do I have to cut it like the starter wire?

Sorry for the repost. I am installing a viper remote start and keyless. I dont remember seeing a 2nd starter output coming from it, but maybe I overlooked. Assuming it does have a 2nd starter output, I will wire the relay like you told me. Thanks for the help!

Most of the DEI products have negative outputs for all of the main ign. connections.
