I have intalled an autostart as1200 into  98 pontiac grande am v6..   The autostart passlock bypass seems to be working ok as it programed as the instructions said.   I have programed the tach  and it flashed 7 times  ,so I assume that it must be geting a tach signal  but the car will not start.  Wireing instuctions tell me about the two ignition wires . I have it hooked up to the pink one.  Should I do something with the white ?  Thank you in advance for any advice to can give..  BrianAutostart as1200 -- posted image.

Brian, the 2nd IGN is VERY important to hook up. You will need to wire in a relay like this to power up that 2nd IGN wire. This should however not have any affect on wether or not the vehicle should start. If the vehicle cranks but doesn't catch, then it's a Passlock issue. What does the starter do when you attempt to remote start the car ?

You need to install a relay to power the second ignition wire. Wire the relay as follows. Terminal #85 to the negative out when running wire from the remote starter, #86 to 1st ignition wire from remote starter (also hooked to Pink ignition wire in car), # 30 to the fused side of one of the two remote starters Red main power wires, # 87 to the White 2nd ignition in the car.

Hy Jeff thank you for your info..    When I try and start the car the lights flash 2 times then the starter motor tries to start the car.  Then it times out and tries again.

The Autostart units have a green wire in the main power harness that can be used either as a 2nd ignition, 2nd acces, or second starter so you don't have to wire in a relay. Use the green wire to power the vehicle's second ignition. The important thing is to check the back of the unit as there is a jumper there. You have to make sure the little black jumper is in the proper location (or in some cases with autostart, make sure its even there at all). 2nd starter is the prongs on the left, 2nd ignition is the middle, and 2nd acces is to the right. hope that helps you out. if you connected the green wire, but the jumper is missing or in the wrong place, you may have found your problem.

You need to use the diagram that was posted and it sounds like the Passlock isn't programmed properly. If you want to check to make sure that your connections are correct sit in the vehicle and start the vehicle with the key. Now hit the remote start button and take the key out of the cylinder. The vehicle should still be running. If so, then the start problem is a Passlock issue. Relearn the module or double check your connections to the module.

Thank you again Jeff.   I am using a Autostart patsk-600  for the passlock bypass. This is how I have it wired

On the ignition there is a small ribbon cable that plugs in larger wire  the colors are yellow /BLACK/ black n white   I cut the yellow wire and tied into it.  The other wire for bulb test was the small black one that  is located in the same plug as the two power wire.   the ignition input  is tied with the Ignition wire on the remote start box. I have not hooked up the key sense output. I just started wondering if the ignition input is supposed  to hook up to the tack wire ?

Well I  have tried to start the car with the  key in the ignition and all it does is turn over..  I now have the relay for the second ignition hooked up also..   I have just finish going over all the wiring with my multimeter  and as far as I can tell the darn thing should work.. Is there a way to check and make sure I am getting something from my Tach wire. I went through the programing and it seems to think it is getting a signal ?
