No transponder ? I have done 100 + Caravans from 2004-2006 and every single one of them have the gray Sentry key. Regardless, where did you grab your ground from on this vehicle and also where did you grab the power from ? The Caravan's from these years have a terrible ground problem and if you didn't ground straight to a solid ( frame ) part of the vehicle, it is most likely your problem.

power is a big thing with this minivan, you cant get it from the igntion harness, the guage is too thin. i would suggest running the 12v constant right to the battery. starter is yellow and ignition is pink/white. that vehicle also has a second starter  wire at the ignition harness(PURPLE / brown) which is negative input through a 180ohm resister. since it was starting fine im assuming you connected it, but check your relay, maybe its bad? i known this car has a transponder, ive done too many this year for some reason so its fresh in my mind. check your r/s unit too, maybe the starter or ignition input went bad. try putting the key in the ignition but leaving it in the 'off' postion. if it starts with the remote then you know its a transponder issue...if you used a module for the door locks then that may be your issue too. for some reason those caravans are very picky about the modules. bypass modules work fine, but some that do doorlocks, power sliding doors, and hatch release tend to affect starting. ive had that problem a couple times. everything is in the drivers kick panel....lock/unlock is PURPLE / green, arm/disarm is PURPLE / blue....theres 2 big harness' right in the kick panel. hope i helped you out...

i also remembered that dodge had a problem with their starter. if you think it might be the starter and not your installation, you can give it a hit with a hammer (not too hard) while someone tries to crank it with the key. hit it just as it starts cranking and it should start. an old trick but those dodge n chryslers have been known to have starter problems...
