autopage 860 wont shut off

Help i put in this alarm replaced a older alarm, it starts but wont shut off even if i push the break or open the hood. it on a 2001 ford ranger.  if i start it with the key and shut the key off it still runs, the only way to shut it off is to pull the fuses on the alarm. pleas help

Someone didnt hook up the brake or hood wire then.
If they did, then they got the wrong wire. Check to comfirm if they are hooked up and to the correct wire.
BRAKE       LIGHT GREEN (+)       @ SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
Last possiblity is a faulty brain (not likely)

Hi its me , i checked the yellow ign output wire comming from the alarm and it i has 12 volts, is this right?

Connect the WHITE/ violet wire (from the autopage) to the BRAKE       LIGHT GREEN (+)       @ SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
That yellow ignition wire should not have 12v when your car is off.

I have it connected, but every time i put the fuses back in the heavy guage harness the dash lights up, like it wants to start. i went through every thing again and it looks right.

I cant figure this out. the led stays on and the dash is lit up. so i took it all apart and Im going  try to hook it up later. do you all think that the brain is bad. or i wired it wrong. do any of you know any one who hooks up alarms in albquerque new mexico that way i can have a alarm tek put it in for me. please help. thanks
