i installed a galaxy 2000rs remote starter with keyless entry into an 03 gmc serria pickup and im having issues with the gmdl-bp programming.  hooked everything up correctly, plugged it in, the plugged in the data wire but the light comes on and stay on or after resetting it sometimes it would flash once upon plugging in the harness.  the only mode it will go into is programming mode (1,6,7) and i can not get it to go into platform mode.  i need it to go to 4 flashes for the specific model.  can anyone help me?  after plugging it in and hooking up the data wire, do i need to put the key in the ignition, turn it to accessory or just leave it out of the ignition?  the instructions say nothing.  help asap!  thanx in advance too!

plug the module in after ALL your connections are hooked up. The module SHOULD be flashing once. It will flash once every second or so letting you know you are in vehicle platform #1. You need to press the program button on the module 3 more times till the flashing now becomes 4 flashes every second or so. Hold the program button down until the light comes on solid...let go of the button. Start the truck, the light will go off confirming you programmed it right.
I have ran into your problem also once a couple times...mostly because i started the vehicle before i chose the correct platform..oops. It just took some messing around with the module and going into programming mode 7 to get it reset. Unplug and plug the module back in till it just flashes once every second or so letting you know you are now in "choose the vehicle platform" mode. Once that happens, follow the instructions in the first paragraph. Good Luck!
