If someone could please shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I installed a viper 5900 alarm last month, and I wanted to rewire part of it this month in order to better route some wires, so after doing so I rehooked up all wires to the alarm and my 555I.
Now my car would not start without the key in, so I tried several times to reprogram the keycode into the 555I with no luck, the remote start would work fine with the key in, so I know it was related to the 555I. I started to inspect each wire on the 555I and all were fine, as the only three I disconnected were the two power and the blue key sense wire.
So I disconnected the keysense wire, and now the car will remote start just fine! So I am assuming that the keysense wire was telling the car that there were two keys in I guess, im not sure, but my question is, does anyone know what the blue wire really does, and why the remote start is working just fine without it?

I stand corrected, I did mean the Blue/White wire, that taps into the RED / White wire in the blue connector in the ignition switch.
I miss typed the color wire I was talking about. The strange behavior as mentioned is the 555I was not working with the Blue/White wire hooked up, but with it removed, it worked just fine.
