Okay I've finally got the power door locks working thanks to all the help you guys gave.  I found the factory keyless entry wires and I did not have to worry about the relays and what type of door locks they are.  Since I have not really deal with the door locks, I don't really know what to do on the windows.  This is going on to my 2002 Subaru Impreza and I was wondering what colour are the wire that are going to the window motors?  In the diagram there are two wires going to the window motors (one connected in series to the window module).  Is it the case that one wire controls up and the other down?  If it is the case can I just connect one window module to the up wires and connect another window module to the down wires both in series connection and no worry about using a relay?  If I need to use a relay how am I going to find out which pin I need to connect to?  Thank you so much for reading this long post.

Thanks

I am not too sure on how to wire up the window module . . .  I have the window module connected to a constant 12V and ground.  I've also connected it to a neg from the alarm module.  As for the wires for connecting to the window I have no idea what to do.  How can I test for which wire is which?  I have 2 window module . . . how can I control it to roll up and down for 2 windows.  This is going into a 2002 Impreza.

Thanks

Thanks

You will have to find the window wires ( motr leg and switch side ). There should be 4 wires that you need to attch from the module that will be marked or if you have the wiring diagram . Depending on the window module you have it will control either 2 or 4 windows. If it only control 2 windows you will have 4 wires to attach. 2 wires for the driver side down and 2 wires for the passenger side down. Each module will control only 2 windows to go either up or down so the other module you will need to hook up to the up wires for both doors.

Here are the window wire colors for the Impreza:

  • Driver window up : BLUE/RED
  • Driver Window down: BLUE
  • Passenger window up: RED /BLUE
  • Passenger window down: BLACK/ BLUE
  • ALL THESE WIRES YOU CAN FIND ON THE DRIVER SWITCH
  • ALL OF THESE WIRES ARE REVERSE POLARITY

Back to the down window wires. You will need to cut the down windows wires for both driver and passenger sides and connect these two wires to the 4 wires of one of the modules.:

  • BLUE wire Driver switch side of wire --------- switch side wire of module
  • BLUE wire of driver motor leg of wire --------- motor leg wire of module
  • BLACK/ BLUE wire of passenger switch side of wire --------- switch side wire of module
  • BLACK/ BLUE wire of passenger motor leg side of wire --------- motor leg wire of module

Do this again for the up module and your done. Hope this makes sense and  post your results or questions.
