Hello,
I have a quick question someone might be able to help me with. If I arm my car the car locks fine, unlocks fine as well. If i leave the car unlocked with the alarm off and hit remote start the doors stay unlocked. What settings or wiring would I have to change on my DEI Python 990 to get it to auto lock my doors when I remote start the car regardless if the car is armed or not.

You can use the second starter output coming from the relay pack and connect to the lock wire(diode isolate).  The system will not arm but will lock.  You can also use the factory disarm.

how would i go about wiring it to the factory disarm. (wouldnt i want factory arm to lock the doors) maybe a little clarification will help me out.   Would i just run the (-) door locks that i currently have going to the 451M relay pack to the factory disarm wire and would i need to use another relay or diodes for that.

On the relay pack should be a little extra plug, with four or five wires on it. The thin purple puts out a negative every time the remote starter cranks the car's starter.
Simply connect a diode to this thin purple wire (the band on the diode should be attached to the purple wire)........and connect the other side of the diode to the lock input (thin green) on the 451M.
This way, every time the remote starter cranks the engine, it'll trigger the 451M, locking the doors.
If you don't put the diode, or if you put the diode backwards by mistake, the car's starter will crank every time you lock the doors.............if you're not sure about which way to face the diode, just make a temporary connection at first, and try it.
