Dear all

I have a 2000 Peugeot 206Gti which has a keyless entry via the remote.  There are not chirps or siren to indicate that the doors are locked or open, just headlight flashes.  I was wondering if its possible to just add a siren to the OE system so I can have verbal confirmation that the doors are locked.  Is it possibe to just install a siren by grounding one end to the car body and the other wire tapped into the live of the front or side lights?  This way the siren will sound when the lights flash yes?  If so, can I use all types of 12v sirens?

I was also wondering if there is a constant live from the ignition starter system?  I dont have a meter with me now but was told the yellow wire from the starter system is a constant live, true?

Sorry if my questions seem a stupid, very new in this techie stuff.

Many thanks

Jim

you can do this

take it from the driver door actuator

you have two wires in the actuator that give you power when you lock

and unlock the doors conect the black wire from the siren to ground

and the red wire split with two diode  1 amp to the wires from the actuator
