The black is probably for a ground and the white will be positive when you want them to go on. Run both wires into vehicle under driver side dash. Ground the black to a factory ground.
To wire a relay and a switch you will need to get a 30a/40a relay spdt or spst whichever you can find, either will work in this application. Then a good toggle switch of your preference. Then I would wire this way to have lights on only with key on.
pin 85 ground
pin 86 switch contact
pin 30 to 12v+ source with an inline fuse rated to 30a
pin 87 to white wire to lights
second contact of toggle to an ignition or accessory source
2003 - 2006 Hummer H1 Ignition green at ignition harness
2003 - 2008 Hummer H2 Ignition Pink at ignition harness
2006 - 2008 Hummer H3 Ignition WHITE/ green or dark blue at ignition harness
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Your welcome. Remember to also ground the black wire from lights. It can be done to the same ground as relay.
Hope that made your install a tad easier.
