2 wire roof light hook up

The black is probably for a ground and the white will be positive when you want them to go on. Run both wires into vehicle under driver side dash. Ground the black to a factory ground. To wire a relay and a switch you will need to get a 30a/40a relay spdt or spst whichever you can find, either will work in this application. Then a good toggle switch of your preference. Then I would wire this way to have lights on only with key on. pin 85 ground pin 86 switch contact pin 30 to 12v+ source with an inline fuse rated to 30a pin 87 to white wire to lights second contact of toggle to an ignition or accessory source 2003 - 2006 Hummer H1 Ignition green at ignition harness 2003 - 2008 Hummer H2 Ignition Pink at ignition harness 2006 - 2008 Hummer H3 Ignition WHITE/ green or dark blue at ignition harnessThe wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... Techman thank you  but i'am a little confused , What i need for you to tell me is this. I need to hook up my lights only to a switch and relay . To turn on and off the the lights with the switch . If you can get me a diagram or something i'll thank you for it . sorry for the incovinience, RKI
