Heya guys! First time poster, long time lurker here from the UK!
I should probably preface this by mentioning that I'm still quite the newbie when it comes to electronics, so I've no idea if I'm even going the right way about planning this out.
My aim is to create a small control panel for my speaker system with two toggle switches, marked "A" and "B". The panel is going to be mounted on the wall under my receiver - easy to get to.
* If button "A" is ON, the 5 speakers in the living room output the signal from the audio receiver.
* If switch "B" is ON, the two 'front' speaker signals also output to a pair of speakers in the kitchen.
* If both switch "A" and "B" are toggled ON, both the speakers in the living room and the kitchen output the signal from the audio receiver.
* If either switch is OFF, the relay(s) are connected to a different part of the circuit(s) that has the equivalent ohm resistance as the speakers, so the receiver doesn't get hit by any unexpected resistance changes.
I've made a simplified diagram of the circuit I've got planned using Circuit Lab:

I guess the first step is to try and work any kinks out of the basic circuit, then I need to figure out how to actually do this in 'stereo'; using a single switch ("B") toggle both speakers on and off for the kitchen.
Any recommendations? Please be gentle!
Cheers!

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but since the forum asked me so nicely the receiver I'm using is a Pioneer VSX-515 ( Manual).
