Is there a way to change the output from pos to neg via a relay?  I am installing an add on remote start and I cant find anything to use as my ground trigger on my alarm that is a neg output.  So can I go from a pos output (like on my door unlock) to a neg output throught the relay?

Yes. connect pin 86 and 87 to ground, pin 85 fom your positive trigger and pin 30 will be your ground trigger.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

question is what are you trying to trigger, if you are trying to activate a add on remote start with your alarm there should be a negitive trigger out, let me know what you a doing.

note on relays always try to use 85 for ground and pin 86 for positive.Even thiough both ways will work newer relays have a diode across the coil and 85 to ground and 86 to positive would be the correwct way to wire any relay especially when dealing with troubleshooting factory relays. Its just easier and more trouble free in the long run .AGAIN EITHER WAY WILL WORK/
