I have a 1986 Cutlass Salon I was wondering which of the folloring is present on my car, so I can hook my alarm up to it

3 Wire Positive Door Locks 

4 Wire Reversal Door Locks 
5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks 
Actuators / Reverse Polarity

Hey Cutlass,

You have none of the above.  It is a positive trigger type "A" system.  In either kick you'll find a Light Blue and a simple positive trigger will lock.  At the same spot is a Black wire once again a positive trigger to unlock (same gauge as the light blue wire).   door locks -- posted image.

Hmm, positive trigger to one lead to lock, positive trigger to another lead to unlock.....aka 3 wire positive door lock switch door locks -- posted image.

Hey 12Volt,

I see what you mean about the wink wink nudge nudge. . .

GM does use a 3 wire positive in that car . . .

What I meant is that he doesn't have to go into the door to install relays as per the 3 wire positive door lock diagram in the link because GM thought of that for him . . .he just has to tap in to the system.door locks -- posted image. door locks -- posted image.
