According to Wikipedia, this model ('97 Monte Carlo) is just the 2-door version of the '97 Chevy Lumina, if that helps.
Me and my dad are trying to fix a problem with the brake lights not coming on. Without a wiring diagram, though, it's near impossible to figure out. Does anyone have access to one, or can direct me to a place where I can get one?

Do you have 12 volts getting to the switch mounted at the brake pedal?  When you depress the brake pedal, do you have 12 volts on the other wire of the same switch?

Actually, not long after making this thread I found http://www.eautorepair.net/, which does have a great set of diagrams for the '97 Monte Carlo. I had to pay $10, and I only have access to it for the next 7 days, but I fortunately found a way to save the diagrams to my computer.
By looking at the exterior lamps circuit diagram, we were able to figure out that the brake lamps are wired to the turn signal switch. And seeing that the turn signal doesn't work on the left, it's clearly the switch that's at fault.
I'll definitely be keeping these diagrams. They'll come in handy...
