updated wiring diagram for 2007 chrysler

Hi everyone! I have been searching online for a complete wiring diagram for my car so that I can install remote start. I saw that there was one posted on here, however, the wiring explained is not in my car. Equipment: viper 5701 remote starter and alarm 2007 chrysler sebring 2.4L 4 door All help is greatly appreciated!aut viam inveniam aut faciam

You did not mention a bypass module...

Does you car have a Gray or Black ignition key?  A Gray key means a transponder immobilizer system and will require a bypass module.

The car has a "one-wire" door lock system and will require relays and resistors.  

There are bypass modules available that will do the above for you ( plus a lot more ), making the install easier.

Also beware that there is conflicting info in the wiring guides for this car.  Bulldog Security appears to have different info from Ready Remote and Audiovox.  Download info from several sources and verify everything in the car with a Digital Multi Meter.  Here are some more wiring guide links :

Sorry it was really early when I wrote the message. I have an Omega link ( made by idatalink ) dball bypass so that should control door locks and ignition system, I'm just lost because I don't see the point in hooking into the same wires twice when the bypass was supposed to make install faster... any advice, greatly appreciated!!aut viam inveniam aut faciam

First, make sure the DB-ALL is flashed with the correct firmware : DB-ALL- 401.CHRYSLER v4.04.

There are many firmwares available for the DB-ALL, as this module covers many vehicles.  ( TheDB-ALL is made by DEI, not iDatalink.)

Follow the Type 4 diagram in the DB-ALL- 401.CHRYSLER v4.04 install guide.   It pretty much lists

all the necessary connections.  If you use the DBI D2D connection, all the Blue dashed wires arenot necessary.

Please understand that the Viper 5701 system is a robust unit designed for professional installation

and it's install guide is not available to the general public.  The same goes for the DB-ALL.  Theseguides are written for techs that have received training from Directed Electronics Inc.

I understand that the 5701 is a robust unit. if you ask my personal opinion it's stronger than the xcalibur in my LR RR AND stronger than the prestige unit in my brothers camry. Difference is these cars were W2W due to age. A bypass wasn't needed. To correct myself I am aware that xpresskit makes the DB-all. The unit I bought yesterday was ADS-AL(DL)-CH5. I checked with idatalink and it's either 3 or 8 for the install of the bypass unit. Now that the terminology is corrected, the problem I'm having I think is simple. based upon the information everyone has posted ( BIG THANKS BTW ) all the solid wires (approx 15) on the left side of the diagram are the ones that need to be wired in between both the brain and the bypass. What wires are necessary on the brain besides 12v,ign,ground, brake? Thanks in advance! aut viam inveniam aut faciam

Sorry if I sounded like I was lecturing you, I'm not.  However there is a lot to know using a Viper system and your resources are restricted.  That learning

curve gets steeper when you add in a fully featured bypass module with its' own peculiarities. 

Anyway, your main concerns will be getting the Viper and the ADS AL CA to integrate properly.  Two main items with the ADS AL CA. 

First, like the DB-ALL, it can be loaded with many different flavors of firmware.  As you noted, AL(DL) CH5 is the correct firmware for your vehicle.  There

should be a white sticker on the ADS AL CA box that identifies which firmware was loaded at the factory.  Hopefully you have the correct firmware loadedon the module.  The white sticker also has a 4 digit install guide that should be used for the install.   While the white sticker shows which firmware was factory loaded, that can be changed by anyone with the ADS USB cable and dealer access to the "Flash" section of their WEB site.  Additionally there are slightly different install guides for each flavor of AL(DL) CH5 ( DBI and ADS ).

The second issue : D2D or W2W

There are two choices of CH5 firmware available for your vehicle, either ADS or DBI.  If it is ADS, you can not use the D2D connection and must hardwire

all those dashed lines in the Type 3 diagram.  If the firmware is DBI, then you can use the D2D connection between the Viper and the bypass module ( if you have the optional ADS HRN DBI cable ).   Either firmware ( DBI or ADS ) can go W2W ( when the Install Mode is properly selected and locked in ) and, IMHO, W2W is the safer route.  More soldering to do but when done on the bench, looks neat and is extremely reliable.

As far as connections to the vehicle :

From the Viper :

1. The two Red and one RED / Black +12V constant power wires. ( RED / White not needed. )2. Chassis Ground3. Parking Lights -  WHITE/ purple (+)     above driver kick, green 43 pin plug, pin 42   *** Verify Viper Parking Light jumper/fuse set to (+) 4. Hood Pin - supplied in Viper kit5. Siren - supplied in Viper kit

From the ADS bypass module :

Only the five wires shown.  All connections should be soldered ( CAN data, etc )

The ADS module supplies the Viper with :

TachBrakeEBrake ( can be used for Neutral Safety )Door Status ( trigger )Trunk Status ( trigger )

The Viper sends the commands ( lock, trunk release, etc ) to the ADS module which passes them on to the vehicle via the CAN Bus ( MUX and IGN for engine starting ).

The ADS module gets data from the CAN bus and sends it ( triggers, brake, Tach, etc ) on to the Viper.
