Requesting wiring info for alarm/remote starter.

This site has info on 200 Sebring Conv, and info is looks similar.  Is it the same?

Car starts however shuts down after a few seconds.  I thought I had a bad tach wire selected.  The wire I have as tach is a BLACK/ grey (or grey black) and it has .8 V AC in idle, and increasing throttle does increase voltage.  Should I use the injector instead?

Thanks to all who read and respond!!!

Thanks Jeff.  I have done a lot of searching on this site, and your name pops up quite a bit!

I could not get that BLACK/ grey wire to work properly.  Here is what I found in an remote starter manual on Clifford's website.

Digital Tach Filter On/Off

In most cases, this jumper can be left in the OFF position.  Some new vehicles use less than 12 volts in their ignition systems.  The unit may have trouble learning the tach signal in these vehicles.  Changing the jumper to the ON setting changes the trigger threshold of the digital tach circuit so it will work properly with these vehicles.  The vehicles affected include many newer Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth vehicles, such as the Neon, Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze and LH-based vehicles.

After reading this (and another post from you on another thread about an expedition on this forum, ha) I connected the tach to the injector.   Before the starter (avistart 6500) would not learn.  After moving this one wire the remote start worked great.

Now am working on the locks.  Is there no other way than the http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/wires/images/chrysler1wirecars.htm

to handle the door locks?  (Guess who posted that url...  Jeff! ;-)

Can I not just use the positive pulse for the door locks directly from the remote starter?

If the above question is of topic, I can move it to another thread...

Thanks again to everybody who uses this site.  I can't believe I got a reply the day after the 4th!

Unfortunately you can't just use a positive pulse because the door lock/unlock wires do not use the full 12 volts. That's why you need the resistors inline of the wire to match the proper resistance of the locl/unlock wires. There is no other way of wiring a relay for this type of system except the way the diagram lists it on the Bulldog site. Just remember to match the resistance of the wire you must place enough resistors in series to accomplish this.

PS: In Canada we had our party on July, 1 so I had ebough recovery time by July 5th 98 Chrysler Sebring Conv Wiring Request -- posted image.
