I need a diagram or some help for everything, including a good spot to run the power cable off of the battery or the aux post. Also a good place to put the factory radio

i did a install on a 2001 monte carlo power cable was ran down the same side of the battery(had to drill).  didnt have to put the factory radio anywhere except out of the car.... the whole dash panel has to come out...start with the screw in the fuse panel the two under the steering column and the one in the glove box. also you have to tap into the fuse box for a accessory for the radio... if you need anything else just post it out there.

I usually run the red wire off of the cold side of the BCM fuse, as it's switched on in the ACC position. If you don't have that fuse on the car, test the other fuses and use the tap on one that's hot in ACC.  the best place for the factory radio is between the quarter panel and the trunk bracing.
