I just recently stumbled upon this website and think it is fantastic. I know I read somewhere in here that you can use your existing car alarm and keyless entry and just by adding some relays and some other components you can make your own remote starting system. Can someone tell me where it was I read this or tell me what I would need and how to do it ? I have a 1994 Chevy Camaro Z28 ,It has a Viper alarm (am not sure what model, but can try to figure it out if necessary) I would like to make it start remotely .Also when this is done do you use the existing keyless entry fob for starting ? And yes it has a automatic trans.Thankyou very much for any info. Kerry Worley-Colorado

Yes, you can add a remote start and use your existing remote.  Here is one way to do it:

This unit's trigger is connected to an unused channel on your existing remote if there is one.  If not, it can also respond to the door locks being activated twice within three seconds.
