I'm installing an AVIC-N1, and I need the reverse wire.  I called Ford, and they were wrong.  Directtechs does not have it.  I'll keep testing, but please post if you know, or can find out sooner than I can.  Thanks!!

I tried that, but I get constant 12 when the key is in the ignition (not even on ACC or ON).  anything else? Ford said that same wire (BLACK/ pink), and also dk. GREEN/ YELLOW - which I can't find, only dk. GREEN/ orange.  Thanks!!

There may be more than one. Directwire says in a gray plug, pin 13. May be high in the kick. Its there, just did one the other day. Also look where the harness running thru the firewall.

okay, i followed the tail light reverse wire (BLACK/ pink ****in A), all the way to the drivers side floor sill.  In that mess of wires is 2 BLACK/ pink, going into 1 BLACK/ pink.  Tested with the DMM, and it gets 12V when in Reverse only!!  the one under the dash must be another BLACK/ pink?  Doesn't make sense to me, but I'm pressed for time.

Anyone reading this to learn, the reverse wire for the 2004+ F150 is BLACK/ pink - confirmed under the drivers floor sill.  If you have the time, follow it to the BLACK/ pink under the steering column and see if its the same wire.  Thanks for the help johnmax!!!

Just FYI, the BLACK/ pink at the steering column is the key sense wire. Same color on most Fords. BLACK/ Pink in the kick is the reverse wire. Also same color on most Fords..

since this deals with a 2004 ford f-150...i'm putting a autostart starter in one and found all the wires except the acc wire, i had a parint out that said RED / black or blue/lt green (something like that) i i couln't find it,  anyone know what the colours are? maybe even the whole harness so i can double check things. other then that wire...it's finally a fairly easy ford to work on :)
