Hi,

I am the proud owner of a BMWE34  520i from 1992,

In the Vechicle Database in here only the 525,535 are listed and there is a lot
of difference in the wiring colors between the models,
So i am wondering if someones knows/got the right colors&locations for the
520i model from 1992 ?
Thanks a lot!
Regards from The Netherlands,
Sampoar E34

*blue/BROWN / yellow rings
I can tell you , that the best location is in the wire sheaf , coming from the driver`s door which is in the hole behind the magnet of the front right speaker at the left of the drivers foots.
The active signal is positive.

     ***Starter:***

*BLACK / YELLOW
If I can can remember good, this wire you can find behind the plastic removable cover below the wheel on it`s left side in one big white connector with the continuous +12V (red fat wire), starter (violet fat wire, but may be the color is BLACK / YELLOW) and direction lights (blue and grey wires if I remember wright) )

   ***Rear doors pins:***

*BROWN / violet / YELLOW rings
Under the rear seat
Active signal is ground, when the door is open.

   ***Front left door pin:***

*BROWN / grey / YELLOW rings
under the rear seat
Active signal is ground, when the door is open.

   ***Front right door pin:

*BROWN / blue / YELLOW rings
Under the rear seat
Active signal is ground, when the door is open.

Under the rear seat
Active signal is +12V, when the trunk is open.
I can tell you , that you can find this wire, coming from the trunk side , because there are 3 or moore wires with this color. You must check on which of them after opening the trunk will show near 0V .

for more info you can use my mail:   mpalarm@yahoo.com

Good luck !

Ok . If your car is 1992 - use this info , that i answer you with. It is valid for vehicles from your model from 1990 to 1994. For shureness you must chek what a wire colors you have in the car , coming out from the driver`s door in the wire shealf in the hole behind the magnet of the front left speaker, in the left of the driver`s foots . Then tell me if you find some differences in the wire-colors.
