Im installing a kenwood ddx514 dbl din in place of my stock nav/bose. I am using a axxcess gmos lan 02 harness and keeping the oem bose system but adding sub. my questions are:
A. what are ppl doing to get around the shallow depth on the right side where the rcas stick out on the back of the hu? 90 degree rca ends? cut? driil?
B.where are you guys typically installing the harness box and mess of wires? I have mine under the unit (on top hvac control) but its tight. it could also be causing depth issues. I dont like like jamming it in there, etc
what I have is an axxess gmoslan02 harness, perph steering control module and im using the rca preouts for amps.
advise. thnx

Just did a 09 two days ago, but only with single DIN. We located the interface module by the glove box because of the vent issue. This allows more room for the RCA's and the rest of the wires to tuck in better.

so I was able to put the gmos lan02 on top of the cig lighter insert which is directly behind the hvac insert which worked out pretty well. I did however have to cut the first layer of plastic off of the back of the dash to fit the rca's from the hu. a good tip (for anyone else doing the same) is to use string to the cut the plastic since you'll will never get any normal cutting tool back there. pull the string behind the plastic and pull in a see saw motion. it will cut it. quick.
