I am considering mounting an overhead LCD monitor in my boat bridge area and hooked up to DirectTV. The bridge area is about 10' X 12'. The mounting area will only accept a unit in the 15"-19" size. I would like the unit to have as large a field of view as possible since there is seating for about 8 people. Obviously the bigger the unit the better. There would be a concern about sunlight although mounting under the hardtop would somewhat limit the exposure. I have looked at units from Blaupunkt, Innovatek, XO Vision, TView, among others. Does anyone have any recommendations for a high end quality unit? The flip down unit necessary to allow for moving about and driving the boat. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
