Laptop LCD screen for In Car

Can I use old Laptop LCD screen for invehicle use?  I don't see why not since all you need to do is provide power and a signal.  What would be invovled.

Laptop LCD screens are just like VGA monitors. You will need to get your +/- Sync wires, R/G/B Wires, and whatever else. They are not just VIDEO monitors like made FOR cars, they are just like a PC monitor, with all the wires it needs for the video signal. You would first need a Composite to VGA adapter (sold for using XBOX and stuff on your PC monitor), then you need to make a wire harness for the LCD screen. It's not worth it really. VGA PINOUT: Red 1   NC   9 Green 2 Ground   10 Blue 3 Ground   11 Ground 4 NC   12 Ground 5 H Sync   13 Ground 6 V Sync   14 Ground 7 NC   15 Ground 8 As you can see, the 15pins required for VGA is much more involved than just a RCA jack. You would have to make some kind of adapter, and the LCD screen uses a ribbon cable, you would then need to figure that all out. In short? The answer is NO. . .
