lines in sony screen pleasehelp

  I have a 97 chevy tahoe and i put a sony flip up screen and a farenhiet dvd player in.  The screen is in the dash and the dvd is in the  center console.  I am geting alot of lines when car is running but no lines when car is in aux.  What do i do?

Check that your ground for both devices are clean, paint free & short. Do not extend the ground for the DVD player to the back of the dash as the resistance will be very high on the player and cause problems. Another thing to look for is to make sure that your power wires are not running along side your RCA/Video wires.

i have very short grounds now and the power wire is know where nearthe rca/video wires.  It still has lines.  What else could i do?

Try using different RCA wires for the video. Another thing onemember did was check the video jack and see if it was a cold solder to the unit. This was the case and it caused alot of grief for him

i am getting black bars now when i turn up the volume what could cause this?

i fix the black bars when the bass hits but still have very little lines when truck is running

behind the deck it works better with the poer there
