Simimlar to your US model NVE-N852A

I have the euro version on order, I was wondering if any of you guys know if it is possible to install this unit vertically rather than flat/horizontal as I am very tight on space.

Thanks for any guidance.

I have tried it but it doesn't work, our Alpine rep gave me 2 reasons, the DVD mechanism is not "set" to operate in a vertical position and also if it gets mounted more than the 30 degrees specified on the install sheet you could have problems with the  built-in gyroscope, my suggestion would be to bury it under a seat or in a side panel somewhere, the only time you should need to service it is if you ever change out the DVD (maybe once a yr if you buy the updates)
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"
