Hey everyone. im a newbie here. ive been putting stereos in on the side for a year or two. by the way i wish i found this website ALONG time ago. this site is awesome. but anyhow i have a 2002 F150 Super Crew and i need to hook up the speed sensor wire. where can i find it and what are the colors? any help would be awesome. its for the AVIC-N1 unit. everyone seems to have a problem installing it. it was simple for me. just took a few hours... and i got a free FLU for doing it outside in the cold. but its all good it works. but i just have that one last wire.

john, me too i wish i found this site along time ago!! well anyways i mostly work on cars on the side and most of them are fords so i think i can help you. now you already have a speed sensor wire, i travels from the back of your guages down to the side of the transmission it is the only wire that is connected on the trans. and to get to it behind the dash is going to be hard because they seal it up pretty good so you cant unplug it to keep the miles of your car.. im not really sure what color it is i will have to check on that but usually it is just a solid black "thick" wire that runs from the guages to the drivers side of the trans it is easier to locate this wire on the trans instead of behind the dash, i would find it on the trans first then follow it up to where you need to connected it or as close as you can get it.. and just splice into the wire, hope i helped ya get back to me
